Vivienne Sinclair is perfect. At least, that’s what everyone at Westbrook High believes. She’s the school president, the straight-A student, the girl with the flawless smile. But behind the polished image lies a truth no one can see — nights spent in a hospital room, sleeves hiding faint scars, and a mind that never stops whispering that she’s not enough. Zane Ryder is trouble. The kind teachers warn you about. The boy with the cigarettes, the fights, and the dangerous smirk. But trouble is easier than talking about the mother he’s losing to cancer or the sister he’s fighting to protect. They’re from different worlds — hers built on perfection, his on chaos — and they’re supposed to hate each other. But one night, Zane sees Vivienne’s perfect mask crack in the corner of a convenience store, and neither of them can unsee it. In a small town where everyone knows your name, keeping secrets is impossible. And some secrets have the power to destroy… or save.

Masks are roaming around like bacteria, nobody can see them nor can they tell if they are bad or good. A mask can hide the biggest monster or the weakest of souls, it can hide a frown or hide the deepest of scars. Ashley Benjamin, the 'socially awkward' and kind of nerdy girl, gets herself into an ‘accidental’ situation with the school’s popular stud Pearce Anderson. Both come from two totally different worlds. But maybe they actually aren't that different. Ashley and Pearce hide many secrets from the world, go through a roller coaster of emotions while Pearce and Ashley reveal little problems of their lives to you and each other and show you how difficult their life is compared to a "normal" teenager. They also realize they aren't as different as they had thought, that both of them have issues and a past that haunts them everyday. Will they fall for each other? Is it even possible? And will they realize that they aren't as different as they thought? Will they finally be able to take their masks off? *I do not own the covers, just letting you know :)* *My story is a 100% my idea along with my cousin, who's been mentioned in the prologue* *Profanity Alert*
