Manon Bannerman never planned to share an apartment with the most magnetic girl on campus. Daniela Avanzini-Fine Arts theatre major, cheerleader, social sun everyone orbits around. But one wrong dorm lottery and a chance meeting during orientation week turned them into roommates and, somehow, best friends.

From the outside, it's easy: Manon is the steady one, the early-morning runner, the art student who keeps aspirin and water ready for Daniela's hangovers. Daniela is the wild one, the party girl who fills their apartment with laughter, music, and the occasional stranger's shoes. But under the quiet rhythm of their days, Manon hides a truth she's never said aloud-she's in love with her best friend.

She tells herself she can live with it. That watching Daniela fall into the arms of someone else-someone who isn't her-hurts less than losing her entirely.
