13 year old named When Provence has many struggles in life. Longing for acceptance and support he falls into a life threatening depression. Feeling his life drifting away he searches for a form of comfort in safe haven. He escapes to the fantasy world of his dreams and imagination, where he can be free. But, after three years at age 16 he is still trying to escape and soon after his fantasy world turns into a nightmare, that he can not escape. He becomes trapped in a nightmarish version of his actual reality and is trapped there seemingly indefinitely.
