Circus Freaks

Nessa Blackthorn is a mutant in a world that despises them yet people who call themselves "The Avengers" go out of their way to make themselves close enough to a mutant. She's had a rough upbringing being trained as a thief in the circus and treated like a monster due to her being a mutant but that all changes when she meets a boy named Clint Barton. He treats her with respect, like she's never been anything but a person. They eventually get separated for years, that is until S.H.I.E.L.D starts to track her and her brother down over a small mishap that was caused to make it seem like they were the cause of the accident.
