Dianna Rose Bianchi's life, or at least what she can remember of it has been filled with agony and suffering at the hands of her abusers, the main perpetrator being her uncle, the Italian Mafia Don Arturo, but she's made her peace. She's learned to love the small gestures of love they grant her and see them for only their positive attributes and not the negative.
However, now she's being thrust headfirst into a new home, her childhood home amongst family that are complete strangers to her.
A whole new set of rules, her duty to 'spy' on the English mafia in order to feed information back to the Italian counterpart, the looming threat of a war between the two and a growing urge to fight to keep other little girls like her safe.
