This memoir tells the story of a young woman who grows up deeply rooted in her baptist church, where her pastor is more than a spiritual leader- to her he was like a father figure who watches over her life. But over time what begins as care and guidance slowly turning into control and manipulation. Faced with constant scrutiny over her choices, relationships, and personal freedom, she struggles to find her own voice. When she finally steps away from the church to build a life on her own terms, the fall out is painful. Her family and pastor's disapprove, and the pastor's attempts to control her escalate, leading to confrontations that shake her world. Through these challenges, she embarks on a journey of self discovery, learning to set boundaries, reclaim her faith, and live authentically. This is a powerful story about faith, control, freedom, and the courage it takes to break free and define your own path.

This book is inspired by a true story. A girl once lived through every feeling you will read about here. But as the author, I chose not to give you all the pain - instead, I wove in fragments of fantasy. Between reality and imagination, the truth still breathes.
