Roxy has always known Nate as her brother's best friend - the guy who crashed on their couch after game nights, who teased her when she was younger, and who seemed off-limits no matter how charming he became over the years. Now in her early twenties, Roxy has returned home for the summer after a tough year at university, hoping for peace, a reset, and some distance from a toxic relationship she just ended. But she doesn't expect Nate - now older, more serious, and annoyingly attractive - to be staying at their place for a few months while transitioning to a new job in town. From playful banter in the kitchen to late-night talks on the porch, Roxy starts seeing a side of Nate she's never noticed before - kind, thoughtful, quietly struggling with some things of his own. And Nate? He's been keeping his distance for years, always respecting the unspoken rule: don't fall for your best friend's sister. But rules are hard to follow when emotions run deep, and sparks that were never supposed to ignite begin to burn. Now, Roxy and Nate must figure out if they're willing to risk the comfort of "just friends" - and face the fallout with her brother - for the chance at something real.

Cameron has always been "the little sister" in everyone's eyes especially to Chase, her brother's ridiculously good-looking best friend who practically grew up in their house. He used to tease her, ruffle her hair, and treat her like she was ten years old, even when she was seventeen. But years later, Cameron returns to her hometown for a fresh start after a rough breakup, and Chase Bennett isn't just her brother's friend anymore - he's now the co-owner of the town's most popular bar, confident, annoyingly protective, and way too good at remembering the little things about her. A temporary arrangement puts Cameron working at the bar to get back on her feet... meaning she's seeing Chase almost every day. There's tension in the way they trade barbs, an electricity when their hands brush while pouring drinks, and a look in his eyes that says he's noticing she's not so little anymore. The problem? Her brother is fiercely protective and is currently going through issues with his own work, meaning he's travelling more then usual - making Chase promise to "watch out for Cameron" while he's out of town. That promise doesn't exactly cover the nights they close the bar together, the quiet talks in the stockroom, or the slow, torturous moments where neither can seem to step away. When her brother returns earlier than planned and catches wind of something, Cameron and Chase have to face the fallout-and decide whether they're willing to risk the friendship that started it all for a love that might be worth every broken rule.
