Maplewood High School is on edge as the anniversary of one of their students' deaths is coming up. On Halloween Night one of their student was murder brutally murdered when she went out on her routine run. Everyone is in panic as Halloween is right around the corner. The thought that there's a killer loose in their town is hard for them to believe. They all think how could this happen in our small town, but isn't it always a small town that nightmares come to.
Clara Thompson is a Senior who can't wait to graduate. She hated living in Maplewood. The people living here are very small-minded in their way of thinking. Dad moved us here from Willows Creek just to get away from the drama. Now, we live in a new town that craves gossip. There is a killer on the loose who'll come out to calm another victim or two this Halloween. Let's see if I'll survive my senior year. If I do, I'm getting the hell out of here and never coming back.

"I walked over to where Aaron was sitting on the ground, kneeling so that I was face-to-face with him. He was wearing a blank expression on his face so I guess he didn't really care if I kissed him or not. I took in a deep breath before taking his face in both of my hands and swooping down to kiss him. I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. There was an uncanny irony to it - my whole existence betrayed me. I lived in a small town called Green Grove, a small town in Vancouver. It consisted of 473 residents, including children. There was only one high school around here so everyone knew everyone. The city was two hours away, everyone always talked about leaving here but once you're here - it's like your stuck. I know I'm stuck - because of my past - because of my family - my tragedy. And yet I still couldn't get past it, I'm suppose to live in the Greens Foster home but I couldn't.
