Y/N has a rap sheet longer than the school year; setting fires, starting fights, breaking rules just for the thrill of it. Expulsion? Suspension? Not a chance. Her parents' generous donations keep her untouchable, much to the staff's frustration. As a last resort, the principal assigns the student council to "babysit" her, keep her in check, tutor her, and, if possible, teach her how to be a functioning member of society. The council, made up of perfectionists and overachievers; Kim Minji, Pham Hanni, Lee Hyein, Danielle Marsh, Kang Haerin, thinks it'll be just another chore. But between detention study sessions, awkward after-school hangouts, and moments where trouble turns into laughter, the lines between captor and captive blur. What started as a punishment becomes something none of them expected; a messy, electric, and dangerously close bond that threatens to break every rule they've sworn to uphold.

You hate her. You have to. Kim Minji is everything you're not: effortlessly brilliant, maddeningly composed, and your biggest academic rival since day one. The two of you have spent years locked in a cold war of GPA one-upmanship, snide remarks, and passive-aggressive study sessions. But when you're forced to partner up on a semester-long project, everything changes. Because somewhere between annotated bibliographies, late-night editing sessions, and unexpected conversations in sunlit corners of the library; you start to see her. Not as the girl who always outshines you, but as the girl hiding under all that armor. And maybe, just maybe, she sees you too.
