PROJECT AETHERION—long ago, an ultraman goes by the name of Nocturn, had been filled with jealousy and unfathomable amount of envy towards another ultraman who was a prodigy. Nocturn combines his power, consumes other kaijus' energy and transform the energy into a being. Not long after his experiment started, Ultraman Zero was exiled from Light Planet, giving Nocturn opportunity to advance his creation while others are focused on Zero's case.

Yet, unfortunately PROJECT AETHERION had been too advanced and caught the attention of the council. Nocturn too, was banished afterwards. He followed Belial's path. PROJECT AETHERION was abandoned. Yet when one thought the project will never rise, it did. Right after Ultraman Zero's redemption era, during a war against Belial and Nocturn, the project had received immense energy and bursts into the galaxy.

PROJECT AETHERION had been spread far and wide, shattering into pieces like glass. Yet the biggest piece of all landed on Earth, the energy morphs into humanoid figure barely aged more than wine. Adopted by the Fusashi family, the light-formed-infant was named Fusashi Keiji. Will he rise up and realise his upbringing, becoming a light warrior or will he break and destroyed by the intertwining strings of fate befalls upon him?
