A dark chuckle spilled from him, low and rough, sending a chill down her spine. "You really shouldn't look at me like that, Rae. Makes me want to..." His tongue brushed over a sharp fang. "...do things."

Her feet felt nailed to the floor. "D-Don't come any closer."

But he was already moving, his steps deliberate, predatory. His gaze dropped to her neck. She barely had time to gasp before it happened-

He was on her.

A blur of movement, his hand sliding to the back of her neck, tilting her head sharply. His mouth descended, fangs sinking into her skin with a white-hot sting. Her breath caught in a choked sound as his other hand clamped around her arm, holding her in place.

It was so fast her mind couldn't keep up.

"G-get away from me," she gasped, pushing weakly at his chest. "Stop it-"
