The Koopalings. Once known as King Bowser's children, now known as his minions. What happened during this time? What made Bowser suddenly consider the Koopalings as his minions instead of his children?
After missions keep failing, Bowser decided to put the Koopalings on a couple of hiatuses for a while, only bringing Junior with him, and leaving the Koopalings behind. Ludwig Von Koopa and his siblings try to piece everything together and prove themselves to their father as their relationship with Bowser as their father becomes more and more complicated.

I am aware that the Koopalings did not appear in games that were released in between Yoshi's Safari, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. I thought it would be a good idea to write about these hiatuses and turn it into a story.
Another note: I know the remakes for Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story came out AFTER NSMBWii, but they're the same storyline with added side stories, so I put these games with their original releases in the timeline (for example, the Bowser Jr's Journey side story happening before NSMBWii).

Based off the Super Mario games, Disney's "The Haunted Mansion" and other resources. Ludwig von Koopa is not your average koopaling, but he's got it all. Very high IQ, loving family (even though they drive him crazy) of one father and seven younger siblings, his most advanced magic skills that no one could ever have, his musical talent and not to mention he'll be king very soon. Not yet, but soon. Two things are for certain though; the eldest 18 year old koopa prince is no longer a koopaling and he's had a normal life so far. That is until his last evening as a "mortal". One night Ludwig gets attacked by what looks to be a centuries old vampire koopa troopa and things have turned upside down. If no longer being out in the sun is bad enough; Ludwig has a much stronger thirst for blood and it threatens to turn both the Mushroom Kingdom and the Darklands into a haven for the undead. Even worse; an empire is out to capture him and do research on him. Whatever research that empire tends to learn about from Ludwig; it can't be good. After landing on some unknown place, Ludwig exits the fortress bruised, cut, battered and to his dismay miles and miles away from home.
