Evans Carter is a famous author in New Orleans, known for his horror stories that can keep you awake at night. Readers find his stories truly terrifying but so thrilling that they can't seem to stop reading them. Evan have been interviewed multiple times on how exactly does he make his stories so realistic and he gives the same reply everytime.
"It's just my talent".
His Story "Trapped In A Nightmare" was the talk of the town. It was the scariest story he has ever written. It was globally known and was the best seller world wide.
Evan had it all; fame, wealth, good looks, connections. Life was good, everything was going great, not until a certain day, on a blood moon, Evan woke up from a slumber only to discover that he had mysteriously entered into his story, "Trapped In A Nightmare".
And so, the nightmare begins.....

I was found, taken in, but I have no way of knowing if I only escaped the frying pan just to jump into the fire. I don't understand these people, these wolves. They don't understand me, either. Our words mean nothing to each other, they're no more than sounds. We use gestures, facial expressions, body language like the beasts we seem to be. In Haltonshaw Grove, we tell these real life horror stories to our kids like bedtime tales. They help us learn from a young age to stay out of the forest after dark. But one halloween, we didn't listen- Me and four boys. We broke the rules and we paid the price. We barely made it out alive and now we live with the trauma, the nightmares, the memories. Seven years later, the events of that night, like most things tend to do around here, have come back to haunt us. We never talked about the night we ran in the forest, never spoke afterwards at all really, but now we're going to need each other if we're going to survive what's coming. I've never had much but, with time, more and more kept gradually being taken away from me; my dreams, my hopes, and even parts of myself. Now, the one thing I thought I'd never lose- my comfort. Everything in my life changes when those vile people cut me off, kick me out, and abandon me. Just like they did to him. They took away the last thing I had to bring me comfort- the four walls of my apartment. The only hope I have to figure out what happened to my family is to accept a not-so-pleasing offer and go against everything I've lived my life by. What could possibly go wrong?
