Jonathan Sims, Head Archivist of the Magnus Institute, London, has always tried to keep both feet on the ground. It's a pity, then, that the universe has other plans, and upon making a rather ill-advised decision to read one troublesome book, Jon finds his life quite literally turned upside down. Now six feet overground and one strong breeze away from deep space exploration, he'll have to reckon with the forces that rule his life -- and, ultimately, decide whether they rule him at all.
But while Jon pontificates from on high, the inestimable Sasha James, Archival Assistant and unintended sleuth, is trying to discover what all this is about. Surrounded by suspicious strangers, mind-mangling manuscripts, and unexplained plumbing problems, she has plenty of places to start. She'll find out who did this, even if it means uncovering a few cults along the way. Even if she feels a strange, growing kinship with the dark. Even if her friendship with Tim is deteriorating more by the day.
Fighting the forces of darkness has never been so lonely.

Pure of Mind and Sharp of Knife (Male Reader x Female Creepypasta)
First of all, I do not own any characters within this book -- only a few minor characters are of my creation. The Creepypasta characters are all owned by their respective creators which do not include myself. It began with a nightmare: a sea of blood and mountains of corpses as far as the eye could see. Ever since then, nightmares have become reality. After your wishes for something interesting to happen in your life, it comes at a dire cost. You have been thrown into a war happening under the nose of every human in the world despite the lives of them all being at stake. There is no turning back. Peace does not last long. You are in a strange new world: a world where the strong eat the weaklings alive. The only comfort you have in this cruel world is a company of killers, manipulators, and beings of uncertain origins. How will you end this war? In blood? Or in love? P.S. The POV will be in 1st person. This is simply my preference when it comes to writing stories. This story is about some child trying to stay sane. Cody had a normal life, she hoped, then suddenly everything was turned upside down and now she's scared and on the run for something she can't even explain. What will she do to fix all her problems? And what will happen when she realises nothing is as it seems? The story is probably weird, but hey, life's weird. Anyway, it's finished and that's why I'm proud of it. A place where the broken, the haunted, the physically, emotionally or spiritually scarred could leave their testimonies. Stories passed on from the victim in an attempt of healing, and information passed on to us for cataloguing and preservation. I believed that, once something is written down and locked away, it loses its power. I have since come to realise that that is not the case. Today, I have hired a new Archivist. Her skepticism will serve her well. They always turn up here, eager to confront the dark corners of reality, to study it like a worm under the magnifying glass. This one is different. She wasn't my first choice, but she was the most stubborn. Quietly obsessive, she carries the kind of curiosity that borders on self-destruction. A tendency to pursue anomalies long after sound minds would have let them rest. Qualities that will make her both invaluable and dangerous to the Foundation. She doesn't ask the right questions.
