"Dammit! Maya we're going to have to jump out the window." I said, looking at her. "What?" She squeaked out, She stared at me with her big owl brown eyes. I sighed and ran my hand through my dirty dark hair. "What if I jump out first and then I'll try to catch you?" I suggested instead, She nodded her head and I sighed looking out the window. I took a deep shaky breath preparing to jump. Just before I jumped, hard knocks came upon the locked bathroom door. "Meryl! Maya! Whatever you're planning to do, don't do it!" Our kidnappers yelled from other side of the door. I ignored them and stepped onto the ledge of the windowsill. I looked over at Maya who looked close to tears. "Don't cry." I said sternly, managing to smile while saying it. The kidnappers began to push down the door. Maya stooped down on the window sill with me and held my hand. They burst into the door and looked over at us. Without a second thought, I pulled both of us out the window and down to the hard looking ground.

"I said look at me," he growled as he grabbed my arm from the Gamma in a vice grip. I winced and finally looked up to his stunning grey eyes. 'Mate!' my wolf yipped happily, although she was very weak she got to sound very excited, but I didn't. I didn't want a mate, one that I am putting in danger. Those people said they would find me no matter where I ran to, I couldn't put my mate or his pack in danger. My wolf whimpered knowing it was the truth. "Kitten," my mate purred, before he growled, "mine!" softly as he let go of my arm and lightly touched my cheek, now I felt the sparks firing on my skin. 'Kitten? Was this guy for real?! Did it look like I had whiskers and meowed?' I mentally scolded at him.
