The Song of Efren

There is a well-known legend here in the town of Amador.

The story tells about a young maiden who used to live on top of a hill called Chanson Hill, located beside the town. She had a lover who she loved so deeply.

"What do you say we get married on the first day of the year?" It was visible in his face that he was caught off guard, but his mouth regained composure and lifted itself into a smile. He held her hands and agreed, locking it as a promise.

The sun has risen and the first day of the year, the day she awaited, has arrived.

However, as all love blooms, they all come to wither.
