It's a tale as old as time: two people want their exes back, and fate throws them into each other's path. Millie Moon's heart shatters when she sees her previously long-time boyfriend-now her ex-with another girl at a party. In a desperate attempt to save face, she does what anyone totally sensible would do; she kisses someone else, her friend. When that doesn't work, she kisses another, a stranger. This time, it worked. But what started as a silly and petty move that she was sure was just going to be an anecdote from the past, spirals out of control when said stranger is moving right next door; Arkin Crawford. Could it get any worse? Absolutely. Millie soon discovers that the after-school extra credit she signed up for a few times a week isn't just any gig-she's now the new piano teacher for none other than Arkin's snobby little sister.

Ava's best friend had a plan - her second brother was rich, tall, and good-looking. She told Ava to go on a blind date with him and "lock it down," so they could become sisters-in-law. Good news: Ava did sleep with someone. Bad news: it was the wrong guy. Crazy news: she accidentally married him. When her best friend found out the next day, she nearly had a meltdown. Ava tried to comfort her. "Hey, don't cry. My husband's even hotter than your brother. I'm not losing here!" Her friend wiped her tears, panicking. "Hot? Who cares about hot?! My *older* brother is stricter than a drill sergeant - old-fashioned, serious, cold as ice! The man practically lives by the rule book. Sure, he's easy on the eyes, but he has zero redeeming qualities! Marry him, and you'll be crying every day, standing at attention, and probably sleeping alone half the time. Ava, you just jumped straight into hell!"
