Kat Elizabeth is a perfectly normal teenager, or at least she would be if she didnt have crippling anxiety. She finds comfort in writing lyrics and singing songs, for her 13th birthday, her mum buys her a diary and she starts writing songs, production logs, and more inside of it. She finally feels an escape. That is until things go horribly downhill. Her mum calls of vocal lessons due to money problems and choir keeps getting postponed, can she find her way around it?

I'm an 18 year old boy with Cerebral Palsy, depression and anxiety. I'm a British Hipster Punk Fuck who has dreams of happiness and independence. Living with my difficulties can be saddening and difficult so to cope I draw (follow my Instagram: alex_likes_airguns) and write poems apparently! The interest in writing is fairly new and I have no idea how to really write enjoyable things. I'm an illustrator by trade so this whole writing stuff is new to me, apologies for bad grammar. A teenage girl's gratitude diary that is jam packed with stories about reflection, relationships, and resilience. With a dash of anxiety, hard hitting facts and plenty of humour. Inspired by her form tutor, Maude agrees to record a diary for the first half term of year nine. This diary is unlike any other; Maude must identify something she is grateful for each day, and she has to justify why she is grateful. Maude's tutor, Mr Walsh, explains that there must be depth to the diary, in order for her to learn about herself and how resilient she is. Maude's family is central to her own values and beliefs and her mum is a liberal feminist/therapeutic counsellor, who teaches Maude to see the bigger picture.
