"Because I burn for you, Wednesday!" his words cracked like a whip, his hurtful glare burning holes on her maybe not-so-cold heart. "Because even though I'm sure you could rip this son of a bitch in a thousand pieces by yourself, I can't stand the possibility to lose you, not like I lost her."
Tyler's tears mingled with the drops of the rain that fell fiercely. The sound of thunders echoing just when the pain was already so heavy on his figure that he couldn't keep standing, falling to his knees. "So, yes, call me antiquated, but I would give my life to protect you in a heartbeat." he breathed. There was no rage left in his words, just pure pain and shame.
And she just stood there. Not knowing what to do with his confession, nor with herself. Tyler was scared of losing her. Tyler burned for her.
The worst part? Maybe she burned for him, too.
