Morgan Gray had always been different.
Not in the "wears-black-all-year-and-writes-poetry" kind of way, though she did sometimes do that, but she was born-with-a-curse-or-a-gift sort of way.
She could see things that others could not,
pale figures lingering in doorways, shimmering shapes drifting in gardens, and shadows that whispered when the wind was still blowing...she could talk to animals.
