was HYDRA's last, most unforgivable answer to the Winter Soldier problem.
By 1991, the lesson was clear: killing could be taught. Obedience could not. Even the Winter Soldier fractured at the edges.
So HYDRA changed the equation.
If a mind that had known freedom could not be broken, then they would create minds that had never tasted it. Children. Infants. Lives engineered before choice could exist.
Four were grown in glass and shadow, spliced from the Winter Soldier's DNA and a woman erased from history before she could be called a mother. No names were meant to survive, but some things always take root.

In his time as the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes was given that mission. The cell he stole belonged to the famous Black Widow. This spawned Auriana the Soldier of Summer. She was 14 when the events of this story happened.
