Grian is part vampire. Scar is a vex, and when bitten, they must bite back, to create a mate bond with the other. Well, the avian/vampire ran out of blood, and was starving. He lost control, biting Scar. Which sent Scar into his mating instincts, so the vex bites him back. They now have to figure what to do now that they were unintentionally mated to each other for the next year and had somehow fallen in love in the short weeks they had known each other.
WARNING!!: there are talks and mentions of abuse and self harm, as well as suicidal thoughts and actions. VIEWER DESECRATION IS ADVISED!(Btw if i missed a warning on here thats on me but if i do end up doing something too graphic i will put a disclaimer at the top of the chapter if i remember)
Edit: im rewriting this. I actually hate how ive written it which is why i haven't touched it in months. Sorry bout that by the way! I'm almost done the first chapter but then again I might just not write it for months XD. But it's coming! Some design changes and actually making the storyline apart of the story plus actual slow burn!! Anywho it'll come eventually stay tuned!! Thanks for all of your support and kindness and ideas they help so much. Love ya guys!!

If your a first time reader you can read this one first but it is VERY different from the rewrite and the writing style switch is a little jarring because my style has changed so much over the last year or however long ago I started this project. To describe Scar & Grian's relationship, it is one of complete and utter loathing. The two have a deep-rooted dislike for one another, always wanting to bully each other every time they come near. However, whenever they do pass or see each other, they would get this strange feeling of warmth and joy that fills their guts. But they don't know what this sensation is, they just know that it makes them want to bully and torment the other even worse. It's such a unique feeling, no one can explain it, not even themselves. They just know that the feeling is there and they hate it. They hate it so much that they wont admit it or even talk about it, it's something unspoken but still a powerful and driving force between the two. Grian hated it, hating that feeling of warmth and attraction that Scar was causing. This completely flipped their relationship, as Grian started to want more of Scar's attention. However, he felt so conflicted about this feeling as well, wanting to fight and torment Scar but unable to resist the charms as well. This story is inspired by the song Your Stupid face by Kaden Mackay I hope you like it! Heard the tales from seasoned Watchers who boast about broken wings and conquered spirits. He's even seen footage of rogue Vexes ripping through entire bases in bloodlust. But what he gets... is different. They're small. Smaller than expected. One clings to the corner of the room, wings drooping like torn silk, eyes flickering with dim, uncertain light. The other keeps low to the ground, trembling any time the Watcher so much as breathes too sharply. Neither of them meets his gaze. Neither of them hisses, or screams, or attacks. They're kind. Gentle. One even offers him a fractured flower-where it got it, he doesn't know. They're afraid of him, but not angry. Not volatile. It's not submission... it's survival. And he doesn't understand. He's not used to Vexes being soft. He's not used to being feared like that.
