"Don't you see now why we can't be together?" I whispered at the crazy boy in front of me. "Aren't you repulsed by me? Disgusted? Dis interested? I whispered unbelievingly, "After all that, and you still don't get why I can't be with you?" He seemed relaxed, calm. Too calm for this situation. "My life doesn't involve a guy like you, Nathan. Never did. You're not my knight in shinning armor, and you aren't going to save me. This is reality, the real world. There is a well. Its mouth opens to the sky, but those inside can only see a circle of light. For years, I lived at the bottom of that well-content, perhaps, but blind to the wider world. Then came a time when the walls began to crumble. The books I read, the people I met, the thoughts I dared to think-all became footholds for climbing upward. And one day, I finally saw the horizon.
A Summer's Anxiety
This is my first time publishing a story, so any comments or critiques is much appreciated!! "A Summer's Anxiety" talks a lot about mental health issues and philosophical ideas, so topics like suicide can be brought up or talked about, as well as any other associated topics. The MC, Mr. Manou, is quite self destructive and has a difficult time accepting anything good that happens to himself. He's a heartbroken, lost, anxiety-filled individual who inches by day-to-day. A journey of him trying to accept his gift in writing, trying to become content about the person he still loves, and fighting rather dark thoughts, all leads to him finding a sense of contentment with himself, but also about his love, Ms. Hou (no this isn't foreshadowing or a play of the actual word). I wrote this short story because I love someone I can no longer love romantically. It's a unique situation, trust me, and there are just more and more questions than answers. The world is such a difficult place already, and to be honest, I can't ever seem to be at ease with the fact it only gets harder. "A Summer's Anxiety" is supposed to be me trying to find some answers as I pour it all out onto a document. I hope you enjoy it!Complete

Each floor exposes the truth they tried to bury. Each choice brings them closer to freedom or to the reason they fell in the first place. Because the Tower isn't testing who wants to live. It's testing who deserves to.
You Were Always a Daydreamer Draft Version
When you're forced to mask Reality with Fantasy. The lifted layers finally unveil the tombstone of self. The biggest cities into the tiniest pebbles The massive ideas and thoughts formed into merely something to fear. A protagonist who already forgot his name Remembers He is a Daydreamer. Which is the only way to cope with life after multiple tragedies. And the fraud on fake friends faces. Only to daydream. As losing touch takes a toll on that rotting indulgence slowly. This get's quite horrific as it goes on. It's not to enjoy but to reflect on and experience. I decided to publish the draft version, because I don't think I can fully finish YWAADD final edition any time soon. I am in the worst mental and emotional state ever. It's quite a struggle and I suffer heavily. So yeah, the polished draft kind of holds up aswell too. The final one is way longer and eventful. So, um yeah I don't expect this to get attention at all, it's kind of really mid in some parts. But enjoy, or don't I guess. Yes this was inspired by Everywhere At The End Of Time.
