I stand at the adge of the building it's over tall. I had run away from home, already tired and wanting to end my life. Apparently warren and Nicole had gained knowledge about everything about me, the fear over took me, afraid that they'll second option me and leave me. I made a decision and that was ending my life
I was about to jump and just end it all when suddenly the building door burst open, I turned my head and looked over my shoulder and that's how I met his gaze that I didn't want to see ever again. He was hurt and scared I'd make the jump so he stepped closer and I immediately stopped him. "No please, don't!" His voice came out trembling "Lena...I can't live without you."

Astren City, and all surrounding area, have the highest crime rate in the northern part of the country. Dozens of crime families constantly trying to take the throne, as well as corruption lurking around every corner, do not aid in that fact at all. Salem Heart's father, Jack Heart, happens to be the Astren City Chief of Police, a title which holds a lot of weight and a rank that claims even more power. He's well respected, and amazing at his job. That said, greatness is expected of Salem as well. Of course that isn't a problem, Salem will always be loyal to the law. He was raised by it, and upholding it is his future career aspiration. He thinks he has his life figured out. The fact that his ex-boyfriend comes from a notorious crime family, and has been arrested several times by Jack's own department, doesn't matter.
