"You still owe me a name", he whispers near her ear.

She smirks. She didn't expect him to forget but still wondered if he thought it was important.

"Eri."

He silently hums. Eri. He tries it out, repeating the word over and over in his mind. It suits her.

"It was lovely meeting you Eri."

A chill runs up her spine. She looks at him once more as they reach the gate.

"Nice meeting you too Mystery Man. I hope you enjoyed your trip, give your friend hell."

He snickers as they move to the side to avoid the crowd, "You don't want to know my name?" He probably wouldn't have told her even if she asked but he was curious nonetheless. She shakes her head with a soft smile.

"For your privacy and safety. You were right, I like the mystery. Take care."

[COMPLETED. 3RD FANFIC] - sneak peek - "Stupid cunning two-faced bitch. I hope you get punched in the throat so you won't be able to sing! UGH!!" I threw more punches to the wall to vent my frustration. Then I crashed down to the floor and hugged my legs, head down. "Hello?" Someone voiced out and I looked up to see a guy in black cap, holding the door open. "You are?" I muttered. I know him, I totally do, but I just don't remember his name. "I'm sorry to interrupt but-" "-No, I'm sorry," I quickly apologised. "I didn't know you booked this room. You can have it now," I hastily stuffed my belongings into my bag. "No, I don't mean that. I came by because I heard loud noises coming from here." I stared at him for a blank second. "Oh. It's not me." Why did I lie? "It's not you?" He raised his eyebrows. "Then... maybe I heard wrong." "Yeah. Bye!" I exhaled a century worth of breath and made my way out. "Wait," he stopped me by my shoulder and we locked eyes the second time. Little did I know that this was just our beginning. --- Prologue: Kim Jisoo was a tenacious girl aspiring to be a K-pop idol, but she had one biggest flaw - she never believed in kindness, she only believed in herself. For years, she lived with a dark heart and mind, shunning people away with her devilish words and actions. That was until she crossed path with a man whose kindness and warmth challenged every aspect of that; not realising that this guy is an idol... and a famous one. If someone had told Seulgi three months ago that she'd end up sharing a house with her mother's new fiancé and his daughter, she would've laughed. Or screamed. Or both. Now? Well-she's still screaming. But more internally. Mostly. "I swear to God, if you touch my skincare again, Jaeyi-" "Relax! I was just borrowing your toner. And serum. And... maybe the snail essence. Your pores look rich, I'm trying to invest." Seulgi clenched her jaw, gripping the bathroom doorframe like it personally betrayed her. "Your investment plan is going to end in hospital bills." Living under the same roof as Jaeyi was like signing up for emotional whiplash. One moment she was laughing at Jaeyi doing a ridiculous dance in the kitchen with a burnt pancake on her head; the next, she was staring too long when Jaeyi came home in a sundress that shouldn't be legal. It wasn't fair. It wasn't fair. Because Jaeyi wasn't just annoying. Or pretty. Or funny in a way that made Seulgi want to punch a pillow. Jaeyi was her. The kind of chaos Seulgi never asked for but somehow couldn't stop orbiting around. "You're staring again," Jaeyi teased one evening, perched on the kitchen counter, eating grapes like a Greek goddess with no regard for personal space. "No, I'm regretting my life choices," Seulgi deadpanned, turning away, ears turning traitorously red. Jaeyi tilted her head. "Sure you are. Just like how you 'regretted' sitting next to me during movie night. Or how you 'regretted' holding my hand during that thunderstorm." "That was for safety," Seulgi snapped, grabbing a water bottle just to have something to hold that wasn't Jaeyi's smug face. "Oh? So if another thunderstorm happens, you'll hold someone else's hand?" Silence.
