However, upon arriving, Shawn and the rest of the colonists learn that assumption was grossly incorrect. In a brutal attack from rampaging wildlife, everyone but Shawn and four other colonists are killed. Then, the sanctuary is destroyed. The only survivors are her and Alex, a boy she hardly knows. As their relationship grows, and more details about their pasts are revealed, she notices inconsistencies in his story. As Alex reveals more and more about his life, his thoughts, and his family, Morgan begins to question if he is someone that can be trusted.
