He was born under open skies. Raised by warriors. Destined for more than one Clan could bear.
Torn from his family by a wildfire and human devastation, Hickoryspot is brought to the forest by his uncle and left in the care of AlderClan- feline warriors who live by ancient code and unbreakable bonds. Raised by strangers but loved as one of their own, Hickoryspot grows into a loyal friend, but struggles with his identity and insecurities.
Some cats see his heart. Others see a threat.
With tensions rising between AlderClan and the neighboring LeafClan, old rivalries stir beneath the surface. As Hickoryspot finds love, purpose, and the truth of who he is, forces beyond his understanding begin to conspire against him.
To survive, Hickoryspot must face the mystery of his past, and the weight of the future that others would do anything to prevent.
And one Clan will stop at nothing to ensure he never becomes the leader the forest needs.

The Surviving Few (Warrior Cats)
The five clans lived by a lake. Until one day, they didn't. The clans have been destroyed. Rogues have claimed the land surrounding the lake as their own. When the clans refused to give up their hard-earned territory, the rogues fought. They fought, mercilessly and viciously, until the clans could take no more. Few survived the first blow. Fewer survived the second. The third came, unexpected to both rogues and Clan cats alike, and set the forest to fire. The few Clan cats who had survived the first battles died of the smoke they inhaled. They didn't know what was happening - how could they? So they passed. But they didn't. Not all of them. The rogues, for one, thanked the unexplainable happening. It had gotten rid of the clan cats for them, while they themselves had gotten away relatively unscratched. Secondly, and most importantly, few cats of Clan blood have survived the third blow. Amongst them is a traitor. How will they survive, now that their home is destroyed and rogues rule their land?
