10 years after the expelling of animus magic by Jerboa III, a comet brightens the night sky at the exact moment a NightWing hatchling, Libero, is born. He finds himself endowed with the powers of the three moons: mindreading, future sight, and the dangerous animus curse. Despite living his early life hidden away from the world with his mother, the secret of his powers are suddenly forced to be revealed.

When word spreads that 'a second Darkstalker' has been hatched into the world, Libero must survive the dragons that come after him; those with the purpose of using him, or with the purpose of killing him for fear of him turning evil.

Will he choose to preserve his soul... or his life?
