Katsuki Bakugo walked through the ashes of what used to be-a society built on hope, now cracked and crumbling beneath his feet. Cities lay in ruins. The Hero Commission was nothing more than a ghost of its former self. And between all this devastation was a silence he could no longer escape.

Izuku Midoriya, the boy who once saved him, stood just out of reach-not because of distance, but because Bakugo couldn't find the strength to touch him. Not his hand. Not his heart.

Guilt burned hotter than any explosion. Every mistake, every scar, every word unsaid pressed down on him like a weight heavier than the rubble surrounding them.

Izuku didn't ask for his forgiveness. He only wanted to be close-to be near the person who had hurt him most. But Bakugo was afraid. Afraid that even a single touch would shatter the fragile bridge they'd somehow started to build.
