She was Daisy, a captive of war. He was Taabe, a son of the tribe. Fate bound them together... and love refused to let them part.

When Daisy's family is destroyed in a bloody raid sparked by years of theft and betrayal, she is the sole survivor-taken captive by a warrior driven by rage. But when he delivers her to his tribe's leader as a claim for marriage, his actions are met with disgust. The leader, seeking to mend what blood has broken, gives Daisy instead to his heir-his young, reluctant son, Taabe.

Taabe wants nothing to do with the pale-skinned stranger forced into his life. He vows that when he becomes leader, he will grant her freedom. Yet as the seasons change and survival binds them closer, Daisy's quiet strength and unyielding spirit begin to stir something in his guarded heart.

In a land divided by vengeance and tradition, their bond will be tested by jealousy, war, and the heavy weight of duty. But in the end, only love will decide whether they remain prisoners of the past... or forge a future together.
