In English, our assignment was to write a short story. As a class we read the novel: TWTWB (Tomorrow when the war began by John Marsden).
Our short stories had to be written about the book (obviously), but written in another characters POV (not Ellie) and written about an event that the reader never saw or an event that the reader read, but in a different POV.
I wrote in Kevin's POV, and it was directly after the novel (when Corrie was shot and had to go to the hospital)

The voice came over the speakers. I was in a room made entirely of metal with a one way window covering one wall. I shifted on my paws and gave a low whine. "It's okay, John, take your time." Her voice was slightly strained. I barked, knowing that she was just trying to be courteous. I focused my attention on my regular form, closing my eyes and sitting on my haunches. I felt an electric current pass through my body and my eyes shot open. "Changed!" I hollered out, as if my voice would make the pain fade quicker. The metal felt cold on my bare body, "Evidently clothes don't come with the changing." I stayed laying down as I heard the cheers from the speakers. The story may be over, but I can still write the southern sweethearts ;) The short stories range from characters, to plot, to angst or fluff. However, I do NOT write smut or anything related to it. Not only does it make me uncomfortable, I wouldn't be good at it even if I tried. These stories do feature OCs, so if that's not your thing, I wouldn't recommend reading. However, I'm totally okay if you imagine yourself or a character that represents you in Lainey's place, so long as you acknowledge her as the source material. Troye moves to California to have a better life for himself and to become successful. He works two jobs that don't pay that much and barely gets by with just living in a small apartment in LA. He finally gets the courage to apply for a job at Franta Records, which he gets. After a little while of working there, he starts to get noticed by Connor Franta, the Founder of Franta Records. After finding out who this Australian is, he becomes quite intrigued with him and starts introducing Troye to the finer things in life. After some time Connor tells Troye that he has greater intentions than some short love affair, and offers Troye a deal that would turn his world upside down, in exchange for his freedom. Warning: There will definitely be a lot of smut in story. Not sure when, but there will be. I most likely won't give a warning, it'll just happen. Also, this is a BDSM type of fic, like 50 Shades of Grey but less masochism and no emotional abuse.
