Rodger knows this, he remembers the smile the flower gives to everyone, the fake compliments, he wasn't stupid, he knew Dandy wasn't really fond of them, unless it was Astro, or Pebble. 

Rodger finds the feeling mutual, being neutral about the shopkeeper. They hadn't even interacted much other than buying something from his shop, so they're nowhere near friends.
