High school sweethearts, Barry Alvarez and Alana Routledge had always imagined they'd have the perfect life together. She was going to finally make it out of Pogue life and get away from her treasure obsessed father while Barry was going to make his family proud by joining the army and making something for himself as well as Alana. Although they decide to take a break while he's on his deployment due to personal reasons, after the nightmares he faces overseas, he comes home a different person than he'd ever been before. Alana is told constantly to give up on him, that he isn't worth fixing. But she'll be damned if she doesn't at least try.
