The famous Ogologos High-so perfect that even perfection dims in its glory-hides a secret no one knows. A hidden organization, The Syndicate, is ruled by a shadow king: Angus Balfour. No one has ever seen him, no one knows what he looks like, and the name "Angus Balfour" does not even exist in the school's records. Yet, he is there every day, among everyone, silently observing and plotting his grand stage drama.

The pawns in his game? The students themselves. Like puppets controlled by an invisible puppeteer, they move while he watches from the shadows. Angus is at the school only because he loves to play with the lives of the innocent.
