Poetry
Everyone dreams. Some big, some small. Some dreams come a-creeping in while asleep, and searching for something unknown. Some while awake and scrambling, fingers white-knuckled around Reality, wanting nothing more than to let go. Dreams of the past, of times which for better or worse were simpler. Black-and-white. Dreams within reach, fingertip-brushing and laughing. Dreams of a future than can or could never be, that exist only in the soft moments between dark and dawn, when the lines between this world and the next become blurred all but for the singing of the little birds. We all dream. But some of those dreams- Some of those dreams get dropped along the way. At the side of the path, discarded, they gather dust and mud, get torn and worn and gradually fade away, fade away, fade away. This is where they end up. **This is a collection of poems, mostly unrelated to each other but along similar themes** TW for implied/referenced self-harm, unhealthy coping mechanisms and unhealthy relationships, depression, and use of metaphors Cross-posted on ao3 under waiting_for_dragons
