When a mysterious new boy arrives in the rain-soaked coastal town of Saltcut, Izzie tells herself she's not interested. Not after her brother vanished. Not after last year's unsolved disappearance. But Eliot Cartwright brings more than quiet stares and battered notebooks. He brings the same ugly block-letter notes that appeared before the last person went missing-notes the police never told the public about. Everyone says Eliot's dangerous. Eliot says someone's framing him. And someone else in Saltcut doesn't want Izzie walking home. Caught between suspicion and connection, Izzie has to decide: trust the boy who keeps finding her, or the town that's been lying to her all along. In Saltcut, the gulls aren't the only ones watching.

(Book 2) *Contains spoilers below* "I needed more closure than what you gave me." I half lied. "It feels like an open wound someone keeps pouring salt on." His expression remained hard and cold. Almost distant. "I don't know what you want from me, Willow. You coming here isn't closing any wounds, it's just opening up old ones." I let out a sigh and rubbed my hands over my face. "I just needed to see you, okay? It's a relief to know you're even alive right now." I was begging myself not to cry. Noah shifted a little and folded his arms against his chest. "I don't know what you want me to say." "Anything is better than nothing." I said as I took a step closer. "I missed you. A lot." He peeked from under the mess of curls falling over his eyes. "You want me to tell you I missed you too? Is that what you're doing here?" I clenched my jaw shut and curled my fingers into fists at my sides. "I don't want anything from you." Scott isn't gone...yet. But he still refuses to let Noah go without harming anyone Noah cares about. It's been nine months since Scott took Noah under his wing and moved away from California. Willow hasn't seen either of them since the night Noah left with the promise to come back. When Willow finds Noah, she didn't expect what she finds. Noah's completely transformed into something she never thought she would see again. Besides the arrogant, obnoxious attitude, came countless tattoos, a ring through his lip, and a new name. With Scott still lingering and Noah's new found attitude, there's bound to be a little trouble. Way more than Willow bargained for. And maybe, just maybe, Scott isn't the real enemy.
