Emilia Spade is a burnt-out novelist, a cheerful and curious woman. But is then given the opportunity to regain her spark as she inherits her deceased Aunt Evelyn's manor a week after her funeral.

She finds a box full of love letters, addressed to and made by her aunt. But they aren't ordinary letters, they're dated back to the 60s. Who is her aunt's lover?

Nolan Brown, a retired grumpy detective, lives across the manor. He reluctantly helps Emilia out in her investigation. He has always struggled with trust issues, but maybe she's the one who'll melt the walls he put up years ago.

Together, they find out that her aunt isn't just involved in a silly little romance. It's darker than that.

Will she follow the fate of her aunt and become a lost soul or will she write her own future? Will Nolan finally open up or will he experience his past all over again?
