This is the story of Rei Moors, one of the few humans on Erravi Station 5, in the year 2209. She's a musically talented teenager who rules the roost, (at least in the station's marketplace) and is well known for being a firm, stubborn young woman with good leadership skills and a wicked sense of humor. One day when attempting to make one of her biggest deals of the season, a virus pops up on her holo-screen... unable to clear it, she looses her customer. In a fit of rage, she dumps her computer system on her techie friend, brusquely requesting that he remove the virus. As he works out the various kinks in her computer system, he explains the virus to her - that it's called the "Good News" virus, and it was becoming more and more common. A few brave souls, he says, are actually tapping on it to see what it does. It may refuse to go away until you tap on it or clear it from your system, but it's actually harmless. Unconvinced, Rei retrieves her repaired computer system and storms off to her living quarters, pondering what her friend had said. Little did she know that virus, pesky as it seemed, was about to change her entire world.
Kane has a 'sixth-sense' - he can tell whether someone is being honest or not. So why is he about to put his trust someone that he knows is lying?
*****
Kane Emery operates a long haul transport ship and has an uncanny knack for being able to tell whether somebody is lying to him.
When a young lady shows up on the planet Calenta asking for transport, Kane can sense that she isn't being completely honest.
So why does he feel as though he should still help her anyway?
As Kane becomes increasingly aware of the emotions of those around him, his dreams start getting more intense, and he unwittingly gets pulled into a chain of events that affects him in ways that he couldn't possibly have imagined.
