Her father was the pastor in a small church in northern england , in a time of desperation after the second world war, everyone is looking for a sign from the heavens with over half the men on the island dead and poverty worming its way into their community . This curse they felt had bestowed upon them was finally broken in 1959 when Amaia Porter is born .
With her name meaning 'End' everyone in her town has always looked at her expectantly as if she was sent by the grace of God to break the mass devastation . Little do they know she does has a gift just not the one they wanted and more the one they despised .
