Twenty year-old Eimile Brah is having the time of her life; all's well that ends well at the archaeology department of the University of Oklahoma and it seems as though she is living the ideal life until she receives news that both of her parents, acclaimed archaeologists Cedric and Katarin Brah, have died in an accident under cryptic circumstances. In the aftermath of their deaths, Eimile begins to find letters and other records whose existence both puzzle and intrigue her left among her parents' possessions. With her family history shrouded in mystery, she sets out to seek the truth in a land she knows little about beyond the stories her parents told her: Eire, the emerald isle. Armed with the collective knowledge of her parents and a fierce determination she travels to Ireland and becomes embroiled in a conflict centuries older than she could have possibly imagined. Along the way, outside forces test the very fabric of Eimile's story and leads her to question everything she knows about herself. With the help of an enigmatic man she meets during her travels and in her dreams, she discovers herself anew and finally comes to resolve her parents' deaths. In a tale filled with the magic of the legends of Ireland, the Tuath De Dannan, and the fair folk nothing is certain and reality is a matter of perception.
