Asa never wanted dragons. Once, when fire and wings descended on her home, she lost everything she loved. Her village burned, and with it, her belief in family, safety, and every other emotion. Taken in by Berk, she lives as an outsider among riders who worship the very creatures she fears.

To Asa, dragons are monsters - and emotions are weakness.

But when Hiccup forces her into training, she's paired with the last Viking she'd ever want near her: Snotlout Jorgenson. Arrogant, loud, and endlessly irritating, he is the opposite of everything Asa thinks she needs.

Yet, through him - and through an unexpected bond with a scarred, wild dragon no one else can tame - Asa is forced to face the truth: not all fire destroys. Some fire heals.

In learning to ride, she may finally learn to feel.

Our days together - The fence fanfic

47 parts Ongoing Mature

Spending your days with Steven and Dennis felt like the best kind of dream-the kind you never wanted to wake up from. There was something golden about those afternoons, the way time slipped by unnoticed as you wandered the streets, kicking empty cans down cracked pavements, laughing at nothing and everything. Those boys, with their wild ideas and stupid jokes, made life feel electric-like something was always just about to happen. At first, it was awkward, sure, but it didn't take long before you were part of the gang, another voice in the chorus of their chaos. You felt seen, like you belonged. For once, life felt full-charged with promise and possibility. Until that day. The day everything changed. The day your life gave it a twist without a warning, like a needle skipping off a record. You didn't see it coming-how could you? One moment you were riding the high of youth, and the next, something shifted. Subtle at first, but it left a mark. A crack in the surface of things. And from that point on, nothing ever felt quite the same.
