Kael never believed in fate-let alone fiction. But after hearing his friend ramble about a terrible fantasy novel called Chronicles of the Crown, he wakes up inside that very world. Worse, he's now in the body of Kevalen Kazharia-a minor character branded as a traitor and doomed to die at twenty-eight.
A strange system appears with one explanation: "If you want to return to your world, you must die."
But every time he tries to end his life, fate twists the outcome: he saves a child, thwarts a coup, unites kingdoms, and now... is hailed as humanity's last hope.

That Josephine's fear is justified. That Caydeyrn is the right choice. But I don't want safety. I want to be ruined by the villain. It's not their slow-burn romance anymore. It's my obsession. And the worst part? I know he would hate me. He wouldn't love me. He'd see the dark little thing I am and realize that I am not the innocent maiden he obsesses over. I'm lucky if he would ruin me for the fun of it. And God help me, I'd let him. Gladly.
