As soon as Catherine of Aragon set foot in England to meet her future husband she expected something more from the letters she had been exchanging with him. Instead of a valiant warrior or a poetic prince Catherine was... let down by the sight of the underwhelming prince of wales, Arthur, that she was to call husband.

England only begins to peak her interest when she finds out that Arthur's brother, the Duke of York, Henry Tudor or Harry as he prefers to be called, was actually the one who sent those letters.

But of course that isn't all England has to offer Catherine. Jasper Fitzroy, bastard son of King Henry VII, felt made by God to test Catherine's self control. She can't help but be allured and tempted into thinking such scandalous things about him.

When Arthur is taken by the sweat Catherine has two choices to make; become the future Queen of England by marring Harry or explore deeper into something more with Jasper.

Hatred between the two countries runs deeper than the channel rarely separating them from each others throats but nevertheless the cunning King Louis accepts the pact sealed by the marriage of his eldest daughter, Princess Geneviève of France, to King Edward's youngest brother - Prince Richard, Duke of Gloucester. Haughty, vain, almost fanatical in her piety and trained to bear a crown, Geneviève has no love for her English neighbours and favours other candidates for her illustrious hand but nevertheless is thrust into the heart of the Wars of the Roses with few allies and a husband she quickly resents. Trapped in the land of the enemy where knives are readily drawn in the marriage bed, Geneviève must learn to survive using her beauty, wit and political guile to master the game of smoke and mirrors the English and French so love to play. Bound to the tumultuous heart of fifteenth century England, can Geneviève endure against the ever changing tide of the cousin's war and campaigns waged between wilful women with words no less sharp than their men's swords? How far is she willing to go for the power she craves, the position she believes God desires for her? And when rebellion rears its head against her new kin, which way will her loyalties lie and how long will they endure?

HISTORICALLY INACCURATE: Based on Philippa Gregory "The White Princess" timeline, but AU: What if Richard III had a son before he was killed in Bosworth? Young Richard Plantagenet was brought up in court at the behest of his mother, Elizabeth of York, who claimed him as a bastard in hopes that her son with the previous king would be safe, but people knew it was not. Richard Plantagenet would always be a threat to the Tudors, but Jasper Tudor felt it was not right to kill a child, not when he can shape the young man, who looked so much like his late father, into a Tudor loyalist. Elizabeth Woodville feared for her grandson. Thinking that they had poisoned his mind, she sought to get the boy away from the Tudors. Richard was so much like his father. He was loyal, just and people support him. Margaret Beaufort may cut off his father's affinity, isolating the boy, but that doesn't mean no one can get to him. By sparing him, Elizabeth of York agreed to marry Henry Tudor. At what cost? Not able to acknowledge her son, Richard in public. Jasper Tudor took the child in and educated him the same way he did to Henry. Margaret, however, disagreed and hoped the boy to just..., disappeared. As he grew older, Richard learned more and more about his father, but he knew better than to listen to the Tudor propagandas. He was smart and careful whenever he's in court. Being one of the York princes, Elizabeth of York wondered. Would her son will be able to marry and have a family? She knew Richard had been on his own and she prayed he would be married and happy. From birth until his last breath, Richard Plantagenet lived his life, fighting for freedom and the love he wanted, refused to be subjected under Tudor's boot. Will Richard serve Tudors in obedience? Or will Richard fight to earn his rightful place as king?

A shy child, she prefers her prayers and pearls to the hefty politics her Father and brothers have no choice but to partake in but war will reach into her life quicker than she could ever know.... Across the sea, in England, the Wars of the Roses rages, a bloody battle for the throne between the royal Houses of York and Lancaster where a word weighs as much as the swing of a sword. Amidst it all, stands Edward of York, the handsome eldest son to the Duke of York, a young knight, eager to fight but forced to flee England in 1459 when the Lancastrian King and Queen overpower his family forces at Ludlow Castle. With his Neville cousins (one being the infamous Earl of Warwick) Edward sails to France where Warwick begins his plots to regain the House of York power. It is as a result of these plots, Edward and Constance are destined to meet. Worlds apart, they will be matched for the benefit of others but when tragedy strikes at the very heart of the House of York, forcing Edward closer to the throne than ever, they find they are, perhaps, what each other needs. Amongst the tangled nest of vipers, surrounded by bloodied thorns, will they keep the crowns destiny calls for them to claim?

'...The first thing I notice about him is his weight. The rumours are true: he is spoilt and fat, so different from the young Renaissance prince I have heard he once was. This is the man I must seduce.' - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Winter 1539.
