Jaiden is a boy from California who knows the comfort of a safe neighborhood, familiar faces, and a predictable life. But everything changes when his family is forced to move from a good part of the city to a tougher neighborhood known simply as the hood.

Here, the rules are different. Respect isn't earned with kindness or grades. it's claimed through toughness, loyalty, and sometimes fear.
