April Hannis is dealing with the death of her father with as much sarcasm and humor can get her by.
Then showing up to her father's funeral announced and uninvited is Trevor who happens to be the guy her mother left her and her dad for.
He informs her that she is a werewolf and that if she doesn't go to the Golden Mountain pack she would soon be killed as she would be considered a rouge.
She reluctantly agrees to go only to be shown around the pack by the Beta Shane Cullby who happens to be her mate.
He refuses to acknowledge her as her mate for an unknown reason and to his shock she trys to reject him but he stops her.
He must find a way to heal and move on so he can keep this sassy caffeinated mate and she must put her pride aside in order to be happy with her destined mate
Will they get through this together or are they in fact doomed from the start just like they thought.

Into the woods I find a pine tree. Perfect! Pine trees are great hiding places. The branches hide you visually and the smell masks your scent. I climb up as quickly as I can and watch the guy approaching. He circles my tree looking around but eventually gives up and goes back towards the houses. "Mate!" My wolf happily purs. "Not him!"
