Day to day, the daughter searched blocks of abandoned streets for food and other necessities. Their strength and future was submerged into one phrase: We can take it.

In order to keep himself sane, he lifts a notebook off of a dead prisoner and begins to write his life story over again so he can remember the young ambitious boy he once was.
