Paranormal non-believer Ryan gets swept up in a plan made by his friends to skip his sister's birthday party and explore an abandoned nightclub led by his friend, who adores all things paranormal. As they venture through the club, they become engulfed in ectoplasm, gaining the ability to see things they were previously unable to see, and opening their eyes to realise their town is much more eerie than it initially seemed. To rid them of these abilities, they acquire a book from ancient times, following it step by step, but when the group begins to crumble as the truth of the otherside drowns them, will all of them be willing to rid themselves of these abilities?
