What caught my senses, made my eyes sharpen, my wolf go on alert, was the young woman who had just arrived. She hugged my sister and was already smiling and laughing as she greeted others. Beautiful, like lightning to my brain. Captivating, the entire world seemed to brighten with her in view. Damn, I thought, who was she? I'd never gotten this reaction with a girl ever before. Why was she so different. With out thinking or making a decision I walked slowly but with purpose. The rest of the world fell away until it was just her. Even through the den of noise, the onslaught of smells, I could hear her wonderful laughter and smell the subtle sent of Rose from her. Was it lotion, shampoo, maybe perfume?
I wanted to wrap her tight in my arms and bury my nose against that delicate neck. I'd inhale that smell deep and let my wolf roll in her smell. As I got closer that rose smell gave way to her natural scent. I was only six feet from her now. Her back was toward me.
