Ramona Vivaldi, also known as Baby, is one of the last Rogue Purebloods of her kind. Wanting a more stable home, she decides that she wants to give the pack life a try and does her best to get into one of the last traditionalist packs in the world-Blood Ridge.
After her trials are complete and she is accepted into the City's Sigma program, Baby is quick to make friends and form alliances with the other she-wolves ranked with her, including Pricilla Wolfe, the darling of Blood Ridge.
Pricilla, also known as Pepper, cannot stop raving about how excited she is for the first alliance ball because at events like this one in the packlands, unmated wolves get a chance at finding their fated mates. Baby is happy that her new best friend is excited about that, but she's never been one to believe in the mating bond, mainly because it was the reason why her entire bloodline was wiped out.
As fate would have it, even with her skepticism, the bond finds her only for the boy who is meant to be hers, rejects her without even thinking twice about it. She accepts the rejection and leaves the Ball without telling anyone.
As a newly active member of the pack, she is assigned to patrols for basic training, where she has to answer to the same boy who didn't even ask her a single thing about herself. Unable to face him, she tries to leave and is stopped by her best friend's brother. Mathew Wolfe.
When she tells Matt the reason why she wants to bail, he offers her a deal. The two are to pretend to be together to make him jealous, so that maybe he reconsiders the rejection, and if all else fails, he'll report him to the Alpha of the City for attempting to break traditionalist law.
Against her better judgment, Baby accepts without knowing that fate can be cruel. Not just to her, but to the boy who hurt her after her family of Rogue Assassins finds out that he rejected one of the most powerful she-wolves alive.
Being a werewolf wasn't all bad, I had a pack, loving yet annoying family, friends, tight knit community. The one thing I really hated was the season. The simplest way to explain the season was the six weeks us werewolves procreated, females went into heats, males rutted, and omegas, like me, got our asses chased like they were made of gold.
I'm serious.
I avoided the sordid affair all together, turning down all those asked to be my season partner but with the pack leaders son on my heels and a new alpha in town, i don't think i can sit this season out.
