But the night he nearly captures her, the sky tears open and rifts appear one after another, unleashing horrors neither demons nor humans have ever faced.
Forced to cooperate, Aric and Liora must fight side by side against an enemy that wants to devour both worlds. He's vowed to destroy her; she's destined to die. Yet, along the way, they learn to embrace the differences in one another and save the worlds they want to protect.
